So you want to make your own MT2 Live Center instead of buying one? Excellent. Here are the drawings I used to make this project.
This Live Center is size MT2 and in the style of a Royal 10662. This drawing is in both metric and imperial units.
In addition to raw materials you will need the following hardware.
(3) Angular Contact Ball Bearing, Size 7202, 35mm OD, 15mm ID, 11mm WD (link)
(1) Needle Bearing, 10mm OD, 5mm ID, 10mm WD (link)
(1) Lip Seal, 30mm OD, 20mm ID, 7mm WD (link)
Although I didn’t do so in the video, If you have the capabilities for hardening and finish grinding the final parts I highly recommend this. Oh. And check your live center for trueness.
After your purchase, you will receive an email confirmation of the order with a link to download the drawing PDF. If you have any questions just give me a shout at contact@inheritancemachining.com.
Note: This purchase is for a technical drawing only. This is not for a physical product.
